The Hampton Visitor Center is located in the lobby of the Hampton History Museum and is a certified Local/Regional Visitor Center by the Virginia Tourism Corporation.  The Hampton Visitor Center is open Monday-Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm and on Sunday from 1pm to 5pm.  The Visitor Center is only closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

The center is conveniently located right off I-64 at exit 250B at the entrance of Newport News Park and is open daily, except on Thranksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.  The mission of the center is to enthusiastically exceed the needs of visitors, while strongly emphasizing regional accomodations, attractions, events, restaurants, shopping venues, etc.  Knowledgeable travel counselors stand ready to assist guests with itineraries and help make the most of their experience.  There is a great selection of visitor guides, directional maps and accomodation and special events information.  A computer with Internet access is available in the lobby.  The center's gift shop features numerous souvenir specialty items including a CD driving tour of the city.  Call 757-886-7777 or toll-free at 1-888-493-7386 for more information.

The Norfolk Visitor Information Center is conveniently located off Interstate 64 at exit 273, just three miles from the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel.  The Visitor Center sits in an area of Willoughby Bay that was filled in as part of the expansion of Naval Station Norfolk in 1940s.  Over the years the area has become a marshland of willowy sea grasses, shade trees, and home to egrets and other species of birds and wildlife.  The Visitor Center is surrounded by wooden decking with benches and picnic tables providing a lovely spot to enjoy a picnic lunch.  The Visitor Center staff is ready to assist with directions and a wide variety of printed brocheres and resources.  The Visitor Center is equipped with free wi-fi.  It also had a gift ship with Norfolk mermaid souvenirs and snacks.

The Visitor Center and offices for the Smithfield & Isle of Wight Convention & Tourism Bureau are located at 319 Main Street in Historic Downtown Smithfield.  The center also shares space with its tourism partner, the Arts Center @ 319.  Make sure your first stop in town is the Visitor Center for a historic walking tour map and for information on all area attractions, lodging, dining, and special events.  Pick up sample itineraries that fit a one-day trip to town or a week-long stay.  Personalized itineraries are also available, as well as sample walking and phototours.  The Visitors Center also offers docents for group tours if given notice of your visit.
