RFA ARGUS was built as a roll-on, roll-off container ship and converted for use in the Royal Navy in 1984.  12 Harrier jump jets can operate off of her deck.  She served in the Falklands War and as a Primary Casualty Recovery Ship during the First Persian Gulf War.

HDMS ESBERN SNARE was designed with flexibility in mind.  The ship can be configured to support command and control, anti-air or submarine, amphibious, medical, disaster aid, or sealift missions.

The USS FORT McHENRY is the third WHIDBEY ISLAND Class Dock Landing Ship built for the U.S. Navy.  She was built in Seattle Washington by the Lockheed Shipbuilding Company and commissioned in 1987.

FGS HESSEN is Germany’s newest SACHSEN class air defense frigate, commissioned on December 15, 2005. She carries the latest in radar and missile defense and has two NH90 helicopters that can operate from her small flight deck.

BNS INDEPENDENCIA was built in the Arsenal de Marinha shipyard in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  She was commissioned in 1979 and based on a Royal Navy design.  A modernization program completed in 2004 updated radar, sonar and  weapons systems.

Like all other ships in her class, the HNoMS THOR HEYERDAHL, is named after a famous Norwegian adventurer and explorer.  This class of frigates forms the backbone of the Norwegian Navy and is extensively equipped for anti-submarine and air defense duties.

BAP VILLAVISENCIO was built in Genoa, Italy and commissioned in 1979.  The ship is named after the Peruvian naval officer VADM Manuel Villavisencio (1840-1925).
